The future of AI work is rails. Not Rails the Ruby framework, but rails the things that keep AI agents on task and not wandering.

It used to be that you only did that with skills files but that isn't enough. Too much drift.

I've been working with Swamp, a framework for making AI repeatable (and shareable).

You can see all of the extensions I've created on the Swamp extensions library.

What's fun about a tool like Swamp (and there will likely be more that also do this) is that it backstops AI agents with typed inputs and outputs and defined workflows. The agents discover the workflows through skill files and then run the Swamp methods directly.

Seems basic, right? It is! But it works.
