Last Friday, I hopped on the livestream and started the first installment of the Upgrade Challenge, wherein I attempted to upgrade Andrew Welch's NyStudio107.com site in five hours or less.
I don't have an answer yet, but I am close! The first installment got me to a functioning version of the site, but I had to skip a few things to get there.
Andrew wishes for the site to use Vite for the build tool and Docker for localhosting. I quickly configured DDEV for the site, so I could go directly to work on upgrading Craft, so there's still more to do.
There are many ways to set up a project, localhosting, and build system; every client will have their requirements. Watch my course, Moving to a Modern Web Development Workflow for Craft CMS, to learn how I configured local development and deployment for other projects.
I'll do another installment of the Upgrade Challenge soon. I'll stream it live, so you can join the live chat and help me!
