Craft 5.8 isn't out yet but I'm already looking forward to the new AX features. The biggest ticket item is the new Content Block field type, which makes it easy to bundle a set of fields together into a single fieldset.
I have two videos on the most important 5.8 features:
➡️ What's New in Craft 5.8 - this is my typical What's New video that highlights the most important features
Check those out when you have a moment and be ready for Craft 5.8 when it comes out.
CraftQuest is powered entirely by premium subscribers, who have access to the entire training library and everything new I publish each week. I've been publishing on CraftQuest for over seven years and I have no intention of stopping.
We are in a time of significant change in our industry. AI, layoffs, higher costs, and uncertainty. But the rule of thumb is that you invest in yourself (and your team) during the challenging times because you want to be poised and ready to accelerate when things improve.
This is why I'm doing the material on extending Craft CMS. You (and your team) can learn these skills, level up your work with Craft CMS, and become more valuable and helpful to those who hire you.
I've been adding to the new Introduction to Extending Craft CMS course over the last couple of weeks. This course is being built with you, the developer new to writing custom modules or plugins for Craft CMS project, in mind. My goal is to make customizing Craft CMS more approachable and something more people can do.
The newest videos are on the anatomy of plugins and modules, and the different entry points for extending Craft CMS. Knowing the approach to take to start customizing Craft is half the battle. The rest is just ("just") implementation details.
Teaching the fundamentals of extending Craft is a focus of mine over the next couple of months. I'm rebuilding the entire Quest on extending Craft, and the Introduction to Extending Craft CMS course is the first part of that.

🤷 SEO vs. GEO
There's a shift happening around SEO and how people are finding the information they seek online. The pivot to using AI tools or AI features in traditional search tools is real. It's here.
But what does it mean for traditional technical SEO best practices? It's something we need to figure out because, if you do work for clients or customers, then you better be up-to-date on the newest best practices.
In last week's livestream, I did a short segment on SEO and GEO, with some background information and my thoughts on what this all means right now and where it is going.
🇩🇪 Introduction to Multi-Language Sites with Craft CMS
In keeping with creating new learning pathways for core topics, last month we released a new course that's a gentle introduction on how to plan and configure a Craft CMS project for multi-language. The course is authored Moritz L'Hoest, who is a frequent contributor in the Craft CMS Discord, and has built many, many multi-language sites with Craft CMS.
Moritz is the first person I thought of when planning this course, and I'm thrilled he worked on this with CraftQuest!
This short course will orient you and set you off on a path to success with your first multi-language build. It's available now for premium members!
There is a lot of change happening in our industry, and in Craft CMS. It's an important time to invest in your knowledge and stay sharp.
A couple of weeks ago, we hit the seven year anniversary of launching CraftQuest. Please consider a CraftQuest subscription so you can stay ahead and so CraftQuest can continue for seven more years and beyond!
