Today I released the first five videos of my new course on customizing CKEditor in Craft CMS. I mentioned this in last week's email and how the suggestion for the course came from a member via the CraftQuest Discord. More on the course below!
The Craft CMS team announced the first two installments of Dot One series of one-day conference events. The events take place in Amsterdam and London in September. Tickets are 199 (Pounds or Euro) and the call for presenters is open! Next on the schedule is Toronto, which should take place some time in October.
📝 Customizing CKEditor
The new course on adding first- and third-party plugins to CKEditor is now available for premium members. The course is still in-progress but the first five videos are available and will help you through the process of adding first-party plugins to CKEditor.
Along the way, you'll learn more about developing a custom module and asset bundle in Craft CMS.
I have a few more videos in production, which cover adding a third-party plugin and building your own CKEditor plugin.
Last week, Craft CMS plugin developer Lindsey DiLoreto joined me for a special edition of CraftQuest on Call. Lindsey went through all the major versions of Craft and how the features and control panel UI changed over time. It was a lot of fun to go back to revisit versions of Craft that seem so distant now.
The livestream recording is available now for premium members.
In the updated version of the Craft 4 in Four Minutes, I present you with a short lesson video on how simple and fast it is to get up and running with a vanilla Craft project in the same amount of time it takes to make a cup of tea.
I wanted a way to chat with the CraftQuest community that wasn't over email or other platforms. This isn't a replacement for the official Craft Discord server; it's a complement to it that, I hope, will be valuable to CraftQuest premium subscribers.
💡Craft 5 Learning Materials
Whether you're new to Craft or just to Craft 5, these materials will help get you on your way. They also make a great list to pass along to colleagues new to the CMS!
The teams plans are becoming more popular as it is a great way to get your entire team unlimited access to everything I've published and all future content. It's also easy on training budgets, especially if the budgets have to go farther than in previous years. It's an enormous value and considerably less expensive than several personal plans.
I'm glad you're here and learning along with me! 🙏
