Creating the Homepage Listing Template

The home­page tem­plate, which is index.twig in the root our of templates direc­to­ry, is the first tem­plate in a series of tem­plates that make the full home­page render.

The home­page tem­plate first extends the _layout.twig tem­plate. After that it iter­ates over the sec­tion entries that we want to have appear on the home­page and then includes the item tem­plate and hands over the work of ren­der­ing the content.
