Migrating from Redactor to CKEditor

Before get­ting to the upgrade, we address the issue of the aban­doned Redac­tor plu­g­in, which we use exten­sive­ly in this project. Rather than wait until after the Craft 5 upgrade, we’ll migrate now from Redac­tor to CKEditor.

The lat­est ver­sion of the CKEd­i­tor field comes with a migra­tion con­sole com­mand that will move all your Redac­tor fields to CKEd­i­tor, and cre­ate any need­ed con­fig set­tings. The migra­tion should be sim­ple and seam­less but make sure you test before con­tin­u­ing on!
