Control Panel (CP)

The con­trol pan­el is the web-based admin­is­tra­tive inter­face of Craft CMS where con­tent cre­ators and admin­is­tra­tors man­age web­site con­tent, users, set­tings, and more.

User access to the con­trol pan­el is con­trolled by per­mis­sions defined by an admin­stra­tor. Some users may have an account in the Craft CMS instance but not have access to the Con­trol Panel.

The default loca­tion of the Craft CMS con­trol pan­el is at /admin but it is rec­om­mend­ed that you change that loca­tion using the cpTrig­ger option in the Craft CMS gen­er­al con­fig­u­ra­tion file.
