Fields

Fields are the build­ing blocks of your con­tent mod­els in Craft CMS. Craft has over 25 built-in field types, such as text fields, rich text edi­tors, image upload­ers, rela­tion­ship fields (like entries or cat­e­gories fields), and flex­i­ble fields like Matrix that allow for com­plex and nest­ed data structures. 

You can also cre­ate cus­tom field types via plu­g­ins and mod­ules, or install a third-par­ty field type via a Craft CMS plugin.
